Arning Pressure Equalized Rain Screen

Arning’s rain screen system (PERS) has been tested in accordance with AAMA 508-07 Voluntary Test Method and Specifications for Pressure Equalized Rain Screen Wall Cladding Systems.

The following tests were performed on Arning’s Pressure Equalized Rain Screen panels:

·         Air Infiltration per ASTM E 283-04

·         Pressure Cycling per ASTM E 1233-00

·         Water Penetration per ASTM E 331-00

·         Water Penetration per AAMA 501.1-05

·         Structural Performance per ASTM E 330-02

 

Panel Features include:

·         Achieved a structural performance rating of positive and negative 55 PSF using 2” X 4” wood studs placed at 24” O.C.

·         Quality workmanship.

·         Single extrusion system.

·         Installer friendly (no sealant nor gaskets are required at the joints and intersections)

·         Competitive Pricing.

·         Standard recessed joint is ¾” using 4MM ACM. (5/8” to 1 5/8” joints available with some factory modifications)

·         System depth 1.40”

·         Wide range of colors available (custom colors available after sample approval).

·         Minimum size 12”X12” and a maximum size of 120”X48” (Other panels outside these guidelines will be considered on a job by job basis. ACM sheet size availability can also affect panel sizing.)

·         Typical fasteners at anchorage points are hidden in the reveals behind a strip of ACM.

Arning’s Double Route & Return (DRR)

Arning’s double route and return system (DRR) is an application used to gain the ACM visual appearance but save money over more expensive systems.  The DRR system requires at minimum, the use of a moisture barrier and ½” plywood over 2” X 4” wood studs placed at a maximum of 24” O.C. (supplied and installed by others).

The following tests were performed on Arning’s DRR panels:

·         Structural Performance per ASTM E 330-02

Panel Features include:

·         Structural performance tested to positive and negative 65 PSF

·         Quality workmanship.

·         Installer friendly (no sealant nor gaskets are required at the joints and intersections)

·         Competitive Pricing.

·         Standard recessed joint is ¾” using 4MM ACM.

·         System depth is 1.3125”

·         Wide range of colors available (custom colors available after sample approval).

·         Wide range of sizes available.  (Available sheet size of ACM will affect panel sizes.)

·         Typical fasteners at anchorage points are located in the panel reveals and painted as required.

Arning’s double route and return sealed system (DRRS) is an application used to gain the sealed ACM visual appearance but save money over more expensive sealed systems. 

The following tests were performed on Arning’s Pressure Equalized Rain Screen panels:

·         Air Infiltration per ASTM E 283-04

·         Water Penetration per ASTM E 331-00

·         Structural Performance per ASTM E 330-02 (note use of a minimum of ½” Plywood over 2” X 4” wood studs at a maximum of 24” O.C. installed and supplied by others is required for structural rating)

Panel Features include:

·         Structural performance tested to positive and negative  65 PSF

·         Air Infiltration <.01 cfm/ft²  tested at 1.57 psf and 6.24 psf

·         No water leakage tested at 15.05 psf

·         Quality workmanship.

·         Installer friendly.

·         Competitive Pricing.

·         Standard recessed joint is ¾” using 4MM ACM.

·         System depth is 1.3125”

·         Wide range of colors available (custom colors available after sample approval).

·         Wide range of sizes available.  (Available sheet size of ACM will affect panel sizes.)

Arning Sealed Extrusion System (SES)

Arning’s Sealed Extrusion System (SES) has been tested in an independent laboratory. SES panels utilize ACM attached to a single extrusion frame with field applied backer rod and sealant.  Test reports are available upon request.

The following tests were performed on Arning’s SES panels:

·         Air Infiltration per ASTM E 283-04

·         Water Penetration per ASTM E 331-00

·         Structural Performance per ASTM E 330-02
